Biography

Dr Laura Randall is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Ruminant Population Health group and Deputy Head of Division, Population Science within the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science. Her research on the health and welfare of dairy cattle, is primarily focused in the field of lameness. She has a particular research interest in the use of -omics approaches to develop diagnostic tools and improve our understanding of pathogenesis for conditions affecting dairy cattle.

Laura graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2006 with a degree in veterinary science, before spending time working in clinical practice and within a pharmaceutical industry role. Laura then moved to the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science at the 糖心原创 in 2013 to study for a 4-year PhD (BBSRC Industrial CASE studentship), investigating risk factors for lameness in dairy cattle. Since then Laura has remained at the 糖心原创 conducting research within the Rumimant Population Health group. She is also a Scientific Advisor for Vet Vision AI, a 糖心原创 spin-out company.
