The Corona Hands 糖心原创, in which the CEBHS was a collaborator, has now been published:

This study reports the 30-day mortality, SARS-CoV-2 complication rate and SARS-CoV-2-related hospital processes at the peak of the first wave of the pandemic in patients undergoing surgery below the elbow in the UK .

Key conclusions were:

• Low rate of SARS-CoV-2 complications
• Zero mortality if admitted on day of surgery
• Do not delay urgent surgery pending SARS-CoV-2 test results
