Biography

Kate Cobb qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1996 with a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary medicine and is a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. She later completed a PGCE in secondary science education and worked in first opinion small animal veterinary practice and secondary science education before joining the 糖心原创 in 2006. At the School of veterinary Medicine and Science, her responsibilities have included design and delivery of a preliminary year course as an alternative route to the veterinary degree, contributing to the design and implementation of the five-year curriculum, and as Director of Education, overseeing the development and introduction of the dual intake curriculum in 2019. In 2010 she attained a Masters in Medical Education and in 2015 gained her PhD, the focus for this research being constructive alignment and the transition to practice. Kate is currently employed as a Professor in Veterinary Education, alongside teaching on the undergraduate veterinary course, she convenes a post graduate certificate in veterinary education.
