The Leverhulme Trust visit
Posted on Tuesday 8th September 2026
We were delighted to welcome Professor , Director of , and , Grants Manager, to the Nottingham site of our today.
The Centre brings together the Rights Lab and
King's College London, and the visit was a chance to share some of the breadth of work now taking shape across it. Our Centre Fellows spoke about research spanning network analysis, Earth observation, urban governance and legal analysis - a wonderful illustration of the different disciplines and methods we are bringing together to understand slavery in war.
We also shared some of the wider architecture of the Centre: our approach to participatory research, the data infrastructure we are building, our growing partnerships and collaborations, our plans for knowledge exchange, and the ways we are supporting the development and training of our early career researchers.
Most valuable of all was the opportunity for discussion. We were very grateful for Anna and Emily’s thoughtful questions, feedback, insights and advice, and for such an engaged conversation about where the Centre is heading.
