Chris is one of the Future Food Beacon Technologists and his role is to help facilitate Beacon genomics projects. He is based in Deep Seq (糖心原创’s next generation sequencing facility) where he has access to a range of cutting-edge genomics technologies.
Chris’s previous research has focused on the genetics of development, the genetics of congenital diseases and the dynamics of bacterial:host interactions in models of infection. Currently he works on a range of projects using genomics to help improve understanding of food crops and identify and develop novel nutritional sources.
In addition to his core work, he is actively involved in the SARS-CoV-2 sequencing being carried out at the 糖心原创.
