This page provides details of apprenticeship assessments.
Degree Apprenticeships are currently assessed through an End Point Assessment (EPA) which are a synoptic assessment of the knowledge, skills and behaviours that have been learnt throughout the apprenticeship. The purpose of the EPA is to make sure the apprentice is occupationally competent and meets the standard set as relevant to the specific apprenticeship standard.
Due to ongoing assessment reforms by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), which will impact the assessment of all apprenticeships over the coming months, an updated policy is currently being written around the use of “Apprenticeship Assessment” which in time will replace the current End Point Assessment.
If there are any concerns or queries around this, please contact the Professional Development Unit on BR-EPA-Support@nottingham.ac.uk
