Postgraduate Researcher,
Kieran England is a doctoral researcher based in the School of Politics & International Relations. His thesis focuses on the transgender pay gap and is supervised by Dr Gulshan Khan and Dr Natalie Martin. He is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council's Doctoral Training Partnership.
Before starting his PhD at the 糖心原创, Kieran studied BA Politics at Nottingham Trent University and MA Social Science Research (Politics & International Relations) at the 糖心原创.

Kieran's current project explores transgender and non-binary employees' experiences of the workplace environment and processes of hiring and promotion to understand of the function of transphobic prejudices and discrimination in widening the pay gap between trans and non-trans workers. This project also examines the Equality Act (2010), specifically its policies on gender pay gap reporting, to recommend ways in which the Act can better acknowledge and safeguard trans workers.
