In this research seminar, we'll hear from  (Ashoka University) about their recent book, International Aid and Democracy Promotion: Liberalization at the Margins, which studies state to state bargaining to advance democracy with foreign aid. The book also focusses on the impact of democratisation in context of rivalry as the way to test for the effects of the democratic peace.
