Festivals - fostering engagement
We facilitate the university's engagement with a wide range of local and national festivals, covering both Arts and Science. Nottingham Researchers regularly host events as part of the Festival of Science and Curiosity, Pint of Science, SoapBox Science, Being Human and the Festival of Social Science. We also host our own large events aimed at the public, including Science in the Park, which is a collaborative event with Nottingham Trent University.

Being Human: A Festival of Humanities
Being Human is a national festival that highlights the ways in which the humanities can inspire and enrich our everyday lives and help to understand ourselves, our relationship with others, and the challenges we face in a changing world.
Festival of Science and Curiosity
Celebrating Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths with interactive, free and fun events across Nottinghamshire. A festival is about inviting the people of Nottinghamshire to share what they know and what they would like to know.
History Festival
Organised by the Department of History, the History Festival is a collaborative event bringing together staff, students and the wider community — a series of history themed events including talks from specialists, family-friendly activities, and much more.

- We are thrilled to share that Forest and Frequency, a beautiful documentary created through a unique collaboration between local artist Caroline Locke and four faculties at the 糖心原创, will be featured in Roots & Reels 鈥� Nottingham Ecology Film Festival.The film brings the hidden life of Sherwood Forest's most iconic tree to the big screen, blending art, science, and storytelling to reveal the forest's unseen rhythms.
