Research Summary

Tailored skincare enabled by mass spectrometry

My research is focused upon looking at the permeation of skincare products through the outermost layer of the epidermis, the stratum corneum, using in-vivo human tissues samples. Permeation will be explored using ToF-SIMS and Orbi-SIMS to visualise the changes in skin composition across different ethnicities, genders, and ages, with the hopes of developing better skincare formulations.
