Veeren Chauhan from the Advanced Materials and Healthcare Technologies Division has recently had an article entitled “” published in RSC Advances.
The article describes how fluorescent nanosensors, an accurate, sensitive and high spatial resolution technology developed in the School of Pharmacy, could be applied to human mesenchymal stem cells to elucidate the intra-cellular fate of superparamagnetic iron nanoparticles in hMSCs. These new methods could be adapted by nano, analytical and biological communities to better understand the clinical benefit of particle-based therapeutics and diagnostics at the cellular level.
