BBSRC award of half a million to understand the regulation of gene expression
The School would like to congratulate Dr Cornelia De Moor on receiving a grant to study the role of poly(A) metabolism in growth factor induced gene expression. This award of over half a million pounds will fund a three year project to help change our fundamental understanding of the regulation of gene expression. Long term it is hoped this project will impact upon the development of cancer and anti-inflammatory drugs. The award reflects Dr De Moor's long track record in this area and strategic support received from the School through its Grant Academy and Research Committee.
