The School is judged to be the UK's top school of pharmacy in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise. 95% of the School's research was judged to be of international quality and 35% world-leading.

Professor Saul Tendler, Head of School, said "We are delighted to be confirmed as the UK's premier school of pharmacy. This result recognises the outstanding quality of the innovative and exciting research carried out in the School by a dedicated team of people. I am hugely proud of what we have achieved."
