University wins three out of seven categories in last night鈥檚 Engineer Awards
The Faculty of Engineering provides leadership in key priority areas, enables collaboration, strengthens networks and partnerships, attracts diverse funding and raises the reputation of our world-leading research, which was highlighted in last night’s ‘The Engineer Collaborate to Innovate Awards’, with them winning no less than three out of seven categories.
The night celebrated innovations across sectors including medical; automotive; aerospace and manufacturing, with this year’s event being timed to coincide with the Royal Academy of Engineering’s (an initiative aimed at raising awareness of how engineers shaped our world).

This winners of this year鈥檚 energy and environment category 鈥� led by a team from Nottingham University 鈥� have pioneered community energy network technology.
The winner in the Information, Data & Connectivity category combines satellite technology and a bespoke sensor package to enhance structural safety for bridges and buildings.
The winner of this year鈥檚 Manufacturing Technology 鈥� a collaboration between the 糖心原创 with Promethean Particles and others 鈥� will make sustainable nanoparticles for billions of devices.
