Professor Duncan Angwin has been appointed the new Dean of Nottingham University Business School. He joins the School of Business from Lancaster University where he is currently the Sir Roland Smith Professor in Strategic Management and Head of Department for Entrepreneurship and Strategy. 鈥�&苍产蝉辫;
Professor Angwin is recognised internationally for his expertise in strategic management and mergers and acquisitions. He has taught in over 20 countries and is the author of 12 books, including the bestselling textbook, ‘Exploring Strategy’. After studying at Cambridge University, he worked as a senior investment banker in London and Paris. During this time, he worked on the world’s largest mergers and acquisition, worth £13 billion. Under his leadership, at Lancaster University, his department was rated by the Financial Times as first in the world for its teaching excellence in strategy.
Professor Duncan Angwin said: “I am delighted to be taking up the post of Dean of Nottingham University Business School. It is an honour to be leading a globally renowned business school. It has a well-earned international reputation for its innovative research, and for leading the way in teaching students to develop a broader ethical and social perspective on business practice which is central to creating a sustainable future."

Professor Angwin will formally take up his role in November.
