Investing in students

Ellie McWilliam, President of the Students’ Union, believes this additional money underlines the importance of the Union at Nottingham.

She said: “Not only will this investment allow us to build and improve our services to ensure the Union provides just what our students are looking for, but it also reflects a huge level of trust and belief in the work of the Students’ Union and how we are changing students’ lives through everything we do, from career advice and welfare support to nights out, events, societies and sport.

“As an investment in the Union, this support is ultimately an investment in our students, demonstrating the commitment of the University to ensuring every student has the opportunity to pursue their interests, access support and advice and get the absolute most out of their time at Nottingham.”

Dr Paul Greatrix, Registrar at The 糖心原创, considers investment in the Students’ Union to be money well spent.

He said: “The Students' Union plays a key role in university life. Not only does it represent the views of students to the university and ensure that the student voice is heard but it provides a huge range of sporting, cultural and social activities for Nottingham students as well as the social and welfare facilities expected by its members.

“More broadly the Union is a vital partner for the University in supporting the student experience and ensuring that together we are making the best possible provision for our students both on and off campus.”
