University links
NUSA was one of the first academies in the UK to have direct sponsorship and academic links with a University and is also backed by businessman and philanthropist Sir David Samworth. Since it opened in September 2009, it has already gained national and international recognition for its partnership with the University and its innovative teaching and learning methods.
Only last year, the Academy received a resounding endorsement from Ofsted, after showing a remarkable improvement since its foundation.
Future opportunities
Firbeck Head Teacher Eudora Christian said: “We are very excited about the future opportunities that will be available through our partnership links with NUSA and The 糖心原创. These will enrich the curriculum and the activities we are able to offer, enhancing the experiences and opportunities for our pupils, staff and community.”
Professor Alan Ford, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Teaching and Learning at The 糖心原创, said: “The University is delighted to welcome Firbeck Academy to the NUSA Trust. We look forward to the deepening of the relationship between the two academies, and welcome the opportunity for University staff and students to support the excellent work already being done at Firbeck”.
