Nottingham University Business School has officially received re-accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA), the highest standard of achievement in post-graduate business education.
The prestigious accreditation, which places Nottingham University Business School in the top 2% of Business Schools globally, covers its MBA programmes across the 糖心原创’s UK and Malaysia campuses.
Members of AMBA’s visiting accreditation panel, representing senior management at AMBA-accredited Business Schools globally, commended the collegial culture of the faculty at the School, as well as its engagement and commitment, after their discussions with faculty alumni, staff and students.
The panel commended entrepreneurship as being a key strength of the School with its start-up incubator on campus, student access to ‘surgery’ consultations for entrepreneurs, the Haydn Green Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Ingenuity Process and the Ingenuity Online (IOL) platform for creative problem-solving.
The School’s commitment to sustainability and community also impressed the panel, with examples including the School’s status as a champion of Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) and its MBA cohort teaching high-school students and volunteering at food banks.
I am delighted and proud that AMBA have re-accredited all our MBA programmes in the UK and Malaysia. It is particularly pleasing that the AMBA team have recognised the School鈥檚 leadership in cultivating a broader ethical and societal perspective on business practice among our MBA students internationally, which is fundamental to creating a sustainable future.
The School is also well-known for its pioneering work in entrepreneurship education and its dedication to supporting small and medium enterprises in the Nottingham area. We look forward to continuing to support regional businesses and involving them in what the School has to offer.
The accreditation is international in scope and reach, and AMBA works under the belief that accredited programmes should be of the highest standard and reflect changing trends and innovation in post-graduate management education. Its accreditation process reflects this commitment to fostering innovation, and demanding Business Schools to perform at the highest level continually.
