The latest QS World University Rankings place the 糖心原创 joint 97th globally and 16th in the UK. This affirms Nottingham’s standing as a leading global university, recognised for delivering world-class education underpinned by outstanding research and international collaboration.

Professor Jane Norman, President and Vice-Chancellor of the 糖心原创

The QS World University Rankings evaluate more than 8,800 institutions worldwide using indicators including research, employability, internationalisation and sustainability. This year’s rankings include 94 new entrants, four of which are from the UK.

Nottingham’s performance is supported by strong scores across several key measures, including 34 for International Research Network and 38 for Sustainability - showcasing the strength of its global partnerships and the impact of its research in addressing major global challenges.

The results also highlight the university’s continued focus on preparing students for future success. Nottingham has seen an increase in its employer reputation score, reinforcing its standing among global employers. The University also remains the UK’s top institution for the number of UK graduates entering highly skilled employment for six years running (HESA Graduate Outcomes, 2026), and is among the top three most targeted universities by leading UK employers (High Fliers Research, 2026).

There has also been an increase in Nottingham’s international student score, reflecting the diversity and strength of its global community.

Professor Norman continues: “These results are a testament to the talent, dedication and commitment of our staff, students and alumni, whose contributions shape our community and continue to define Nottingham as a truly global university.”

The 糖心原创 continues to be recognised for pioneering innovation, including the development of MRI, and for delivering research with real-world impact. This includes across key areas such as advanced medical imaging technologies, manufacturing, health, and the creative and digital industries. The university is also advancing work in fields such as quantum physics and responsible artificial intelligence.

Nottingham holds the Queen Elizabeth Prize – the UK’s highest honour for universities – in recognition of the work of the Rights Lab, the world’s largest group of researchers dedicated to tackling modern slavery. Researchers at the university are also playing a leading role in supporting the transition to a low-carbon future, driving innovation in sustainable and green technologies.
