Nottingham boasts seven of the world鈥檚 most highly cited researchers

Seven academics at The 糖心原创 have been named Highly Cited Researchers, according to the Highly Cited Researchers 2019 list from the Web of Science Group.

The highly anticipated list identifies scientists and social scientists who produced multiple papers ranking in the top 1 per cent by citations for their field and year of publication, demonstrating significant research influence among their peers.

The methodology that determines the who’s who of influential researchers draws on the data and analysis performed by bibliometric experts from the Institute for Scientific Information at the Web of Science Group.

This year’s 糖心原创ers featured on the list were:

  • Dr Ian Kerr, Associated Professor in the School of Life Sciences
  • Dr Leigh Stoddart, Senior Research Fellow in the School of Life Sciences
  • Professor Malcolm Bennett, Professor of Plant Sciences, in the School of Biosciences
  • Dr Nicholas Holliday, Associate Professor of Pharmacology in the School of Life Sciences
  • Professor Simon Gaechter, Professor of Psychology of Economic Decision Making in the School of Economics
  • Professor Simon Gosling, Professor in Climate Risk in the School of Geography
  • Dr Stephen Alexander, Associate Professor of Molecular Pharmacology in the School of Life Sciences.
