Public Health
We have two NHSE-funded public health clinical lecturer posts (pre or post-doctoral, each up to four years). We are also part of the NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship scheme.
Research opportunities
Public health clinical lecturers have the opportunity to be involved in a range of research areas, including:
- Global mental health
- Injury epidemiology and prevention
- Primary care and gastrointestinal epidemiology
- Alcohol and tobacco research
- Biobehavioural approaches to health and chronic disease screening
We have a 100% success rate of pre-doctoral clinical lecturers securing doctoral funding. Our previous postdoctoral clinical lecturer went on to be awarded a prestigious MRC Clinician Scientist Fellowship.
