Biography
Rebecca Haydock is Head of Clinical Trials Unit Operations at the Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit (NCTU), 糖心原创. She provides strategic and operational leadership for the Unit's portfolio of multicentre clinical trials, working across academic, NHS and industry partnerships to support the delivery of high-quality research that improves patient care and health outcomes.
With more than 14 years' experience in clinical trials research, Rebecca has extensive expertise in the design, development and delivery of large-scale randomised controlled trials across a range of therapeutic areas, including women's health, neonatology, stroke, audiology and dermatology. She has contributed to numerous NIHR-funded studies and research grant applications, supporting the development of nationally important clinical research programmes.
In her current role, Rebecca oversees the operational planning and delivery of NCTU's portfolio of around 30 multicentre clinical trials and leads the coordination of multidisciplinary teams responsible for their successful delivery. She works closely with investigators, sponsors and research partners to ensure studies are delivered efficiently, to the highest quality standards, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. She also leads initiatives to improve operational processes, strengthen organisational capability and support the sustainable growth of clinical trials activity across the Unit.
Rebecca plays an active role in research development, contributing to grant applications, study design and trial methodology, with particular interests in participant recruitment and retention, digital approaches to trial delivery, and female sexual and reproductive health research. She is also involved in education and training through the NCTU's Fundamentals of Clinical Trials programme and contributes to research governance as a member of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Research Ethics Committee.
