Coagulation-fragmentation processes

Project description

The condensation of liquid droplets from gas can be modelled by an evolving distribution of cluster sizes, with larger clusters formed by coagulation, and smaller clusters by fragmentation. Such size-evolution processes are also of interest in polymerisation and in biological systems, where clusters are formed from two or more species, and the composition may change as well as size. The aim of this project is to investigate the dynamics of cluster formation in such multi-component coagulation-fragmentation systems.
