Research Fellow,
I am an applied statistician and computational geneticist working across statistical modelling, machine learning, bioinformatics, and quantitative genetics. My research focuses on developing computational and statistical approaches to understand complex biological systems, linking genetic variation and molecular mechanisms to cellular phenotypes and clinically relevant outcomes.

A major focus of my research is understanding how genetic variation shapes phenotypic diversity. My doctoral work used budding yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) as a model system to investigate the genetic architecture of complex traits through quantitative trait locus (QTL) analysis. Building on this foundation, I am interested in moving beyond statistical associations between genotype and phenotype towards computational models that represent the biological mechanisms through which genetic and environmental variation influence cellular behaviour. I aim to bridge quantitative genetics and mechanistic modelling to better understand how variation at the molecular level propagates through biological systems to produce diversity in cellular and organismal phenotypes.
