Chris Leslie with Steve Cox and undergraduate PASS students
MP for Nottingham East, Chris Leslie, visited the school on Friday 4 May. The visit followed his initial meeting in March with Research Fellow Dr Paul Knott at the STEM for Britain poster session at the House of Commons.
During his visit, Mr Leslie met with the Quantum Correlations Group to discuss their work on quantum correlations and implications for quantum technologies.
It was also an opportunity for him to find out more about the Peer Assisted 糖心原创 Support scheme (PASS) within the school. He chatted with Steve Cox (PASS director) and some of the undergraduate students on the PASS scheme to find out how it helps them, why they chose to study mathematics and why they enjoy studying at the 糖心原创.
The visit concluded with Mr Leslie meeting members of the Leverhulme Doctoral Training Centre in Modelling and Analytics for a Sustainable Society (MASS). A poster display in the Atrium hosted by Markus Owen and some of the MASS PhD students provided him with the opportunity to talk to the students about their interdisciplinary work in the area.
