Grant awarded to develop tools to explain network behaviour

We are pleased to annouce that and recent grant application has been successful.

The three year project "Threshold networks" aims to develop a new set of mathematical tools for tackling dynamical systems on networks. This will focus on the study of networks of threshold elements, using and developing techniques from non-smooth dynamical systems. Such networks are ubiquitous in biology and the social sciences, and the work will be applied to neuroscience, cardiology, and social-influence-driven opinion change. The project will fund a three-year post-doctoral fellow to work with the Nottingham based team, and support an exciting new collaboration with at UCLA.

Well done Stephen and Ruediger!
