Biography of Evelyn Robert Pierrepont, 5th Earl Manvers (1888-1940)

Evelyn was the eldest son of Charles William Sydney Pierrepont, 4th Earl Manvers. He was styled Viscount Newark from 1900, and succeeded his father in 1926.

Unfortunately, due to a debilitating breakdown at the age of 17 and a half, he was unable to take on the burden of administering his estates. He was succeeded as 6th Duke by a relative, Gervas Pierrepont.

Family

He was unmarried.
