Joanna Wisniowska, PhD Candidate in the School of Law and a member of the 糖心原创 Commercial Law Centre (UNCLC) has passed her PhD viva voce examination on 16 January 2023. 

Joanna’s thesis ‘The morality exception in European patent law: a universal theory of interpretation devised for the Unified Patent Court’ was supervised by Paul Torremans (Professor of Intellectual Property Law and co-director of the 糖心原创 Commercial Law Centre) and Dr Andrea Tosato (Associate Professor in Commercial Law, 糖心原创).   

The examiners were Estelle Derclaye (Professor of Intellectual Property Law, 糖心原创) and Duncan Matthews (Professor of Intellectual Property Law, Queen Mary University London).
