Biography
I am a PhD student in philosophy at the 糖心原创. My research focuses on the problem of evil in Pierre Bayle, Gottfried Leibniz, Jean Meslier, and David Hume. More specifically, it explores the epistemological presuppositions of these early modern thinkers in order to evaluate the strength (and rationality) of their starting assumptions.
Expertise Summary
My studies focus primarily on early modern (17th- and 18th-century) French and British philosophy and the Philosophy of Religion. My research engages with the problem of evil, scepticism, presuppositions, and circular reasoning. I am interested in the writings of key thinkers, including Descartes, Leibniz, Bayle, Berkeley, Voltaire, Hume, and Rousseau.
