Established in 1999, the Lord Dearing Awards are intended to recognise contributions to the student learning environment. Chris’s award was in part due to the success of the he has been using in his final year undergraduate module on Utilitarianism. 

This method moves some of the content of lectures online, to be viewed by students before the regular lecture—which can then contain more discussion of advanced topics.
