Department of Music graduates Charlotte Brosnan and Greg Link return to Nottingham this weekend as part of the internationally-acclaimed a cappella ensemble.
The London-based a cappella quintet will make their Nottingham concert debut on Saturday 16 May at 7.45pm as part of a singing day for young people taking place at .
The five professional singers will work with members of the Cathedral Youth Choir in the afternoon ahead of an evening performance which will see Apollo5 performing a range of classics from folk, jazz and pop alongside the Youth Choir.
Alex Patterson, also a Department of Music alumni and currently Director of Music at the Cathedral, writes:
‘I am delighted to welcome Apollo5 to the Cathedral. The group have a growing reputation across the UK and abroad for engaging and enjoyable performances and have a similarly inspiring education programme for young singers.’
Canon Geoffrey Hunton, Cathedral Dean, adds:
‘It is particularly special to welcome Charlotte Brosnan, one of Apollo5’s singers, back to the Cathedral having been a choral scholar with us for three years.’
