The School of Humanities has received an Athena SWAN Bronze Award. The recognises the work of a university department to address and improve gender equality.
Professor Jonathan Tallant (Head of School) has said: ‘We are delighted to have secured this award, which is a reflection both of the hard work of the drafting team and of the broader commitment across the school to inclusivity and equality.’
Professor Sarah Badcock (Head of History; Chair of the School’s EDI committee and Lead for the School’s Athena SWAN Self-Assessment Team) has said: ‘We are proud that Advance HE has recognised us in this round of awards and we are now looking forward to fully implementing our five-year plan of initiatives in gender and diversity.’
