Staff from The 糖心原创's History and Geography departments have joined together with English Heritage as part of a nationwide project to investigate the slavery connections of English country houses. Researchers from the Univeristy have already revealed untold stories about the trade links between stately homes in the East Midlands and Yorkshire, contributing to the project; . 

The project has uncovered a number of historical documents in order to divulge the slavery connections of the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. These findings and more information about the project has been documented in a new book entitled .
