Biography

Ir. Dr. Chai Ai Bao is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical, Materials and Manufacturing Engineering, ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ Malaysia. She also serves as MSc in Mechanical Engineering program director managing and providing strategic lead in departmental MSc teaching activities including teaching and learning provisions, course structure/organization, MSc admissions and recruitment, examination related matters, etc. She is a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and Chartered Engineer of the Engineering Council UK. She received Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with first class honor from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Upon completion of her degree, she focused her professional career on the area of research and development of rubber sealing components where she worked as a product development engineer in a multinational rubber seals manufacturing company in Malaysia for 3 years. She then obtained Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering in University of Malaya, Malaysia. She is the recipient of French Government Grant 2012 and Early Career Academic Grant 2016.
