Biography

I am an Assistant Professor in in the Department of Architecture and Built Environment. I am the Co-Programme Director and Senior Tutor for the Architectural Environment Engineering programmes.

I am a co-investigator at and a member of the Nottingham Geospatial Institute. I am also a member of Transport, Mobility and Cities.

Expertise Summary

I work on the development of positioning and navigation technologies for people and objects. I have worked extensively with navigation sensors including GNSS, inertial sensors and electro-magnetic sensors. I have also worked on the use of sensors of opportunity including WiFi, BLE and the digital footprint. I am interested in the use of movement and dynamic models in sensor integration and in the application of movement data to understanding human behaviour.
