Biography
Lisa has a BA (Hons) in English from the University of Wales, Cardiff (1991) and an MA TESOL from the 糖心原创 (2013). Her Masters dissertation, Allowing for Development in the EAP Post-observation Conference, won the 2013 Association of Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes (BALEAP) Award for a Masters dissertation in English for Academic Purposes (EAP). She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
Lisa's background is in language teaching and learning. She taught in the 糖心原创's Centre for English Language Education (CELE), specialising in EAP and TESOL at undergraduate, presessional and postgraduate levels. She now lectures and supports students on Masters programmes for TESOL and Education and convenes modules on Materials and Technology in Language Teaching and Managing Language Teaching and Developing Teachers.

Lisa is passionate about providing a democratic and authentic experience for students in higher education. Her current research takes this approach to teaching and uses it as a springboard to explore opportunities to create learning space for fun. Fun is an equalizer. It disrupts power relations and can generate 'serious' critical teaching and learning incidents.
