Biography

I started my career teaching English as a Foreign Language in schools in Germany and Italy, before moving on to teach and lead languages in secondary schools in the UK. This led me to work in Initial Teacher Education as a Modern Languages PGCE tutor and Teach First Lead Tutor for Modern Languages and Professional Studies and Practice at the 糖心原创. Since starting at the university, I have held leadership responsibilities as Regional Coordinator for the PGCE International Africa, and Course Leader for the BA Education Programme within the School of Education. More recently, I qualified as a Forest School Level 3 Leader and have been working with colleagues within the School of Education to embed outdoor learning across all of our programmes. I am co-facilitator of the Jubilee Community Garden on Jubilee Campus and co-founder of the School of Education's Special Interest Group focusing on eco-pedagogies, nature-connection and outdoor learning.
