Refugee children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) are too often overlooked in research, policy, and practice.

In May 2025, together with Professor Joanna McIntyre and the  (HERE), convened a parliamentary roundtable exploring the intersections of refugee education and SEND.

This resulted in research that highlights this urgent issue and calls for a more inclusive and intersectional approach to ensure that refugee learners with disabilities receive the tailored support they need to thrive in education.
