Part-time work can help towards costs of student life and give you the opportunity to gain valuable experience and transferable skills.

Please be mindful not to take on too much work, as outlined in the guidance on student employment during studies. If you feel like you’re taking on too much work, please consider applying for one of our support funds.
Careers and employability support
Our Careers and Employability Service is on hand to support you in finding something that fits around your studies, whether it be something in the local area, or here on campus. They can help with:
- exploring careers if you don't have any ideas
- securing an internship or year-long placement
- tailoring your CV or job application
- finding relevant careers events such as job fairs or skills workshops
