This Encounter brings together the German author Angela Krauß (Leipzig) and the translator Margret Vince (Nottingham) for a joint reading of excerpts from Krauß' novel Im schönsten Fall (2011) in German and in English translation. This will be followed by an in-depth discussion of practical and theoretical matters of translation and a mini translation workshop for the audience.
