With Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) announcements due in the summer (i.e., July/August/September 2026), museums — both council-run and independent — can expect to experience changes over the coming 12-24 months.
To support these museums through this period, Museum Development Midlands (MDM) will be establishing a peer support network, facilitated by Stronger Museums consultant, Tonia Collett.
This Coffee and Connect session will be an opportunity for museum professionals to drop in and share their concerns with other museum professionals in the Midlands.
Museum professionals in attendance will share what they have been doing to prepare, where they feel there are gaps in their data, and how they would like to be supported by MDM.
This will be an informal session and will not be recorded.
There is no need to book; attendees are invited to use to join the session.
