Synthesis on Snowdon

mosesgroupA post-graduate cancer research group at the 糖心原创 are raising money for The Association for International Cancer Research (AICR).

Dr John Moses and his group at Nottingham, sponsored by Sigma-Aldrich, have come up with something a little quirky, and are planning a synthesis of one of the world's oldest and most successful anti-cancer drugs at the top of a mountain!

They have received permission from the Snowdonia National Park Authority and will  show the UK that chemistry is not something that has to be confined to a lab, but something that is accessible to everyone and can certainly be a lot of fun!!!

Raising money for this charity is of particular importance for the Group since many of them have had people close to them who have been affected by cancer. “We are all already putting our time and hard-work helping to into tackle this world-wide problem, however, research can only continue with funding which either comes from the Government or from charities which rely completely on donations”.

If you feel this is something you would like to support and help them fight this battle then please donate as much or as little as you can afford. Every penny will be appreciated and will hopefully help them to reach their target.
