Pupils from Nottingham’s primary schools explored the mysteries of science at The 糖心原创’s Schools Science Fair.
Researchers worked with young children as they froze flowers with liquid nitrogen, learned the basics of computer programming, and explored the facilities and equipment that scientists use to carry out their research.
Children from primary schools across the city visited the labs and lecture theatres of the School of Chemistry, speaking to experts in chemistry, physics and computer science. Activities included gold plating copper coins, finding out how important iron is in the human body, making slime to learn about polymers and seeing the fascinating properties of light.
