Six PhD students from the School of Chemistry participated in the Postgraduate Research showcase 2010 that took place on the 7th of May at The 糖心原创. During the event Hainam Do, Elizabeth Morris, Kate Portman, Shalu Sharma, Eleanor Turpin and Sihai Yang presented posters describing the research that they are undertaking within the School and its real-world implications. Their audience included local members of the public, representatives from industry and the communications directors from some of the major UK research funding agencies. The students were selected through a competitive process and the School was very pleased that six chemistry graduate students were short listed. Ten finalists were selected at the event by the judges and these finalists will represent the University at the Vitae Midlands Poster Competition in July. The overall prize was awarded to Louise Lloyd from the Veterinary Medicine & Science Department.
