As part of their Research Strategy 2020 the 糖心原创 has established five Global Research Themes and a total of 31 Research Priority Areas (RPA) in fields of research strength (and hence priority) at Nottingham.  RPAs are cross-School and even cross-Faculty and cross-Campus platforms for researchers working on broadly related topics at a Nottingham campus.

Professor Simon Gaechter is the leader of the RPA 'Understanding Human Behaviour', which aims bringing together researchers interested in human behaviour.  The management group is currently comprised of Simon (Economics), Professor Eamonn Ferguson (Psychology), Professor Jan Meyer-Sahling (Politics) and Professor Andrew Smith (Business School) but membership is not restricted to these four schools.

The main goal of this Research Priority Area is to bring together the behavioural research that is already being conducted at Nottingham, to exploit and build upon the potentially considerable synergies that exist in research both at the basic behavioural science level, as well as at the applied level.  A common platform will also help in enhancing the national and international visibility of behavioural research at Nottingham and improve our strategic positions for grant capture which increasingly requires large and interdisciplinary groups of researchers.

We will be holding a launch event for invited faculty and students on Tuesday 10 May from 11am to 3pm in A1 Law and Social Sciences Building.
