Through our weekly (term-time) CeDEx seminar series, our students and staff get to experience a wide range of speakers sharing their research on diverse topics relevant to behavioural and experimental economics. Over the last academic year we have hosted colleagues from UK, European and International institutions including: Andrew Schotter (NYU); Urs Fischbacher (Konstanz); Bruce Lyons (UEA); Sanjeev Goyal (Cambridge); Jason Shachat (Durham); and Weiland Mueller (Vienna). You can view the full list on our 'previous seminars page'.The timing of Easter Break this year means students return just one week before exams, so there's just time for one more CeDEx seminar remaining this academic year - Stephen Knowles (University of Otago) on 10 April. We are however, already inviting speakers for next year and are delighted to confirm Daniel Schunk (University of Mainz) will visit on 6 November. Our PhD students have the opportunity to meet with our speakers on a 1-2-1 or group basis, and attendance/ involvement at seminars feeds into our 'behavioural economics research' module (resulting in an assessed piece of work). We're proud of the seminar programme we deliver and also liaise with the other research groups in the School of Economics, and with the Faculty, to bring speakers to Nottingham which we believe will be of interest to CeDEx faculty and students. This of course isn't possible without the enthusiasm of the speakers themselves, and we would like to thank everyone who's visited CeDEx over the last year.
