Who Studies Economics?

In this study, we offer a broader picture of diversity among UK economic students. We look at socio-economic and geographical characteristics of the UK undergraduate student population and consider how these intersects with more common studied demographics characteristics such as gender, ethnicity and race. We then look at how students are distributed among the UK higher education institutions, and student performance across these institutions. We finally provide an analysis of the awarding gaps among the different type of institutions (Russell Group vs non-Russell Group) that considers this more multidimensional diversity.
