Witty Entrepreneurial Placement Year

The Witty Entrepreneurial Placement Year gives students the opportunity to dedicate a year to developing their own business or social enterprise as an alternative to a traditional placement. With financial support, access to workspace in the Ingenuity Lab and mentoring from Nottingham University Business School experts, students can learn through the practical experience of building and developing their own venture. Nottingham Advantage Award

This module helps our students learn about key areas and factors for starting a new business.  It introduces them to entrepreneurship through theory and practice; busting myths, introducing cutting edge new venture creation theory, ideation, and most importantly enterprise execution. They develop a micro venture business idea and test it by running a small real live pilot. The module builds skills across a number of areas central to the entrepreneurial experience, including recognising, evaluating and exploiting an entrepreneurial opportunity, analysing and accessing the feasibility of their business ideas, and producing a Minimum Viable product. Find more information about applying below.
