Imogen Ramsey, a first year PhD student at the 糖心原创’s Division of Food Sciences, has won the Midlands IFST Young Scientist Competition.
The IFST (Institute of Food Science and Technology) annual competition gives undergraduates and postgraduates the opportunity to present their current or recently competed food related projects in front of their peers and a panel of food professionals. Imogen beat off strong competition in the postgraduate category to win the award at the Midlands branch final held in May 2017 at Coventry University.
Her presentation on the challenge of improving the sensory qualities of no and low alcohol beer was chosen by a judging panel which represented a cross section of the food and drink industry.
