We welcomed 21 attendees, including 13 from our UK campuses and four from the Ningbo campus. A record may have been broken for the furthest-travelled guest: Neil Robertson (Agricultural Science, 1977) lives in New Zealand and was visiting his daughter in Boston. He was delighted to meet another Class of 1977 graduate – John Welch (Production Engineering)!
Tusharika Deka, who recently finished her PhD in International Relations, won’t be able to attend her graduation this summer so the event gave her the opportunity to mark the end of this chapter and celebrate her achievement!

We recorded 31 attendees, including 18 from the UK, seven from China and one from our Malaysia campus. Huge thanks to our International Alumni Ambassador Sophie Bennett (Environmental Science, 2014) for her support on the night, too.
Thank you also, to former study abroad student Katie Stricker (1999), now a start-up co-founder, executive advisor and coach. She joined us on the night and gave a talk titled 'Adaptability as a Superpower: Navigating Startups, Corporates, and Everything In Between'.
Washington DC
16 attendees joined us including eight from the UK and four from Ningbo. Thank you to Andrew Davis (PhD Politics and International Relations, 2007), who joined us to give a talk on his time at Nottingham and how it prepared him for a diverse career spanning public, private and academic sectors. He discussed his interesting role working for the Government of Catalonia’s first representative office in North America (and the process of getting this role), before the office was closed down during Spain’s constitutional crisis over Catalonia’s independence referendum.
It was great to welcome several study abroad graduates and former sports scholar Taylor Smith (International Law, Security and Terrorism, 2018). We also caught up with Evangeline Inyang (Law, 2021), who started as a mentee (mentored by Tim Smith Law, 1991) on the university's Pathways to Practice programme and is now a mentor!
